Publishing to social channels
WordPresto publishes to LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram and Bluesky from the Canvas. Drafting is AI-assisted where a real persona exists, limits are enforced deterministically, and nothing ever posts without your explicit action.
Connect your channels
Section titled “Connect your channels”Each channel is connected from the Integrations canvas (Data sources in the Command Centre), on its own tab, with your own account.
- LinkedIn, X, Facebook and Instagram connect with an account sign-in. On the X card you can also set your post-length tier — Standard (280 characters) or Premium — because X does not reliably report it; your choice wins and survives a reconnect.
- Bluesky connects with an app password rather than a sign-in redirect. Create an app password in your Bluesky settings and paste it with your handle; it is stored encrypted and used to post on your behalf. Because Bluesky is an open protocol there is no platform app to configure, so the connection is always available to set up.
Drafting with Layla and Wren
Section titled “Drafting with Layla and Wren”Two personas draft social posts in the Canvas right panel:
- Layla drafts LinkedIn posts.
- Wren drafts X posts.
Each drafts grounded in your document’s own content and your project’s knowledge — never inventing facts, statistics or results — and honours the editorial brief you have set for that channel plus the project’s banned terms. The draft is review-only: apply it to the canvas, copy it, or ignore it. Alongside the post you get hashtags, an alternate hook, a shorter version, a stronger call to action and honest risk flags, with a confidence score. Drafting uses credits.
You can also draft from an empty canvas: tell Emma what the post should be about and the persona grounds it in the project’s knowledge and your own published posts.
Facebook, Instagram and Bluesky have no drafting persona — your canvas text posts as-is (on Instagram it becomes the caption). On Bluesky, links and hashtags in your text are detected automatically and made tappable; @-mentions are not auto-linked yet.
Limits, enforced honestly
Section titled “Limits, enforced honestly”Character limits are checked deterministically, never trusted from the model: LinkedIn 3,000 (readability guidance under about 1,300), X 280 or your Premium tier, Facebook 63,206, Instagram 2,200, and Bluesky 300. Bluesky’s limit is measured in graphemes, not bytes — an emoji or an accented character counts as one — so the count matches what a reader sees. An over-limit post is flagged before it can be scheduled. Instagram has no text-only post, so an image is required — attach one or generate one from the post’s own copy. Bluesky images are optional.
What each post costs
Section titled “What each post costs”Posting to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Bluesky is free. Bluesky in particular carries no per-post fee at all, because the AT Protocol is open — only the AI drafting or reply work is ever metered. Posting to X is credit-metered (X charges a real per-post fee, higher when the post carries a link), and the button shows the projected cost before you post.
Post now or save to the calendar
Section titled “Post now or save to the calendar”With real text, an active project and a connected account, every channel offers two explicit actions:
- Post now publishes immediately and confirms honestly (“Posted to LinkedIn.”).
- Save to calendar snapshots the current text and schedules it for a future date and time. It later fires through the same publish service as Post now.
Publishing is always a separate, explicit click — drafting never posts, approving never posts, and scheduling requires a genuinely future time. Every published post is recorded, which is what makes the engagement inbox and performance tracking possible.
