The social inbox and engagement

Once you publish through WordPresto, it keeps track of what comes back. The unified social inbox merges comments and replies from LinkedIn, X, Facebook and Instagram into one feed, flags the ones worth answering, and — for LinkedIn and X — helps you draft, approve and publish replies. Bluesky has its own inbox, described at the end.

The engagement feed surfaces on the Writer Dashboard as the engagement tile, with a badge showing how many comments need a reply. It is a read-only merged view, newest first, across LinkedIn, X, Facebook and Instagram, covering posts published through WordPresto. You can filter by platform, by response status, or to needs-attention only — and the summary counts always reflect the full feed, so a filter never distorts them.

Each comment shows the author, the text, a classification chip, its age and a direct link to the real comment on the platform. A real classification pass decides which comments are recommended for a reply; nothing is flagged by guesswork.

A background sweep runs every 15 minutes across the four unified-inbox platforms, fetching new replies and comments on your recent posts and classifying the genuinely new ones — so the inbox stays current without you pressing anything. Posts are polled while they are within the reply window (14 days by default); older posts go quiet naturally.

For LinkedIn and X, each comment opens a full reply workflow:

  1. Draft reply — a metered AI draft, grounded in the conversation, with an optional freeform instruction (“make it warmer”, “shorter”). You get an editable draft, a character count, risk flags and alternatives.
  2. Approve, reject or regenerate — approving does not post anything.
  3. Publish reply — a separate, explicit action that posts the approved reply.

You can also mark a comment as needing no reply. Every step is an explicit click; nothing drafts, approves or publishes automatically. Facebook and Instagram comments appear in the inbox but are fetch-only for now — reply on the platform via the direct link.

The refresh-metrics action ingests real post metrics (impressions, likes, comments, shares). Currently that is live for X only; LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram honestly report “not supported yet” rather than showing fabricated numbers, because post-level insights need permissions the connection does not request.

Bluesky has its own inbox inside the Bluesky hub on Project Home, kept separate from the unified feed because it reads a different signal: your Bluesky notifications (replies, mentions and quote posts), not just comments on posts you published here. Reading the inbox is free.

Each item opens the same review-first reply loop as LinkedIn and X: Draft reply produces a metered AI draft (the one step that uses credits), then you approve and Publish reply as a separate, explicit action. Publishing the reply itself is free, because Bluesky charges no per-action fee. Nothing drafts, approves or replies on its own.
